Tim qualified from RCSI in 2014. He trained in Beaumont Hospital and worked as a Medical Registrar in St Vincents University Hospital and the Mater Misercordiae University Hospital. He completed a Docterate in Gastroenterological Genetics and was a Newman fellow in University College Dublin. He completed his General Practice Training in the North Dublin City Scheme. He has a special interest in Gastroenterology, Genetics, Addiction, Men’s health, LGBTQI health care and Inclusion Health.

Before studying medicine Tim studied History and Politics in UCD and in Brussels. He also completed a Social Policy Hdip in University College Cork.
